“I was initially attracted to the Leading Through Complexity course because I thought it would give me a tool or two to support my OD work.  I never expected to gain so much.

The Leading Through Complexity programme was a game-changer in how I approach supporting leadership through change.  Over 12 weeks, this course provided a powerful framework for navigating the uncertainties and challenges of leading in dynamic environments.  Rather than relying on traditional, linear change models, I gained practical strategies for embracing complexity, adapting solutions to different problem types, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and resilience.

The programme was thought-provoking and highly applicable, equipping me with numerous new tools and approaches to help leaders to engage stakeholders effectively, mitigate resistance, and lead change with confidence, some of which I have already integrated into client projects.  I am now working through the material for a second time, this time with my team, so that we can all gain from the learning and give our clients a contemporary approach to change, relevant to the challenges of the day.

I highly recommend this course to any leader looking to navigate complexity with clarity and purpose.  Thank you!"

This "Leading Through Complexity" course transformed how I look at my role as a leader in groups. I'm now able to focus more on the big picture and the system dynamics, and less on individuals and changing their behavior. I am heartened to hear that many so-called technical projects are actually more successful when the relational aspects are emphasized and made more prominent. I am happy to learn that there is a growing community of leaders who are learning to apply complexity science to their work, and I'm looking forward to being part of the solutions that will be implemented in the future. Randall has steeped himself in this work, and he appears to be wholly committed to transforming and supporting complex projects, leading us all to success. During the course, he has modeled the guiding, facilitative behaviors that he encourages us all to develop in ourselves.

Taking the "Leading through Complexity" course was a transformative experience for me. The knowledge, insight and tools which Randall shared with me are directly applicable to the challenges I face every day as an OD Consultant.  The group breakouts were a valuable part of the learning process for me through the interactive discussions with fellow participants. It was reassuring to know that others were grappling with similar issues, and we could learn from each other's perspectives sharing experiences and gaining insight from others on the course.

We also learnt valuable skills through use of different platforms embedded in the learning.  I now feel more confident in my ability to lead my clients and teams through uncertainty and drive meaningful change. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to enhance their skills in today's dynamic environment.  The course has significantly boosted my confidence in leading my team through uncertain times and making strategic decisions under pressure.  I can't recommend this course enough to anyone looking to enhance their leadership capabilities. It has truly been a transformative journey for me, both professionally and personally.

"Randall’s Leading Through Complexity course was incredibly informative and exceeded my expectations. I’ve gained valuable insights, strategies, and confidence in handling organizational change. I give it a solid 10/10."

Agnes M.

"Thank you again for such a great experience with the course. It was quite transformative for me. It gave me frameworks and language to explain what is so hard to explain about adaptive leadership and complexity. Randall dove deep into many of the frameworks, theories and approaches out there about systems and complexities and weaved it in such a way that I felt I found lost pieces of a big puzzle. It is intensive yet well worth for me for my own growth and learning."

Participating in the Leading Through Complexity course has been one of the most valuable learning experiences I have had as a business leader with extensive experience in change management. This course not only
equips you with the tools to become a highly effective change consultant but also provides a profound introduction to the mechanisms behind all transformations. It teaches you how to create the conditions necessary for success in your projects.

Randall has developed a truly unique program that masterfully combines the human aspect with technological elements in a harmonized approach. He reminds us of the importance of leveraging both the left brain—analytical and logical—and the right brain, which focuses on long-term, process-based thinking.

One of the most fascinating aspects of this course is how Randall has skillfully incorporated the essence of David Bohm's dialogue methodology. It brilliantly emphasizes the importance of mindset in navigating change, whether as a consultant or a leader.

If you aspire to be a better leader, an effective change consultant, or simply a better version of yourself as a human being, this course can be the beginning of something truly transformative.

This week sets the stage for your transformation by contrasting old paradigms with the innovative approaches you'll master.

Week 2 - The Age of Complexity

In this session, we’ll uncover the deep structure of complexity within organizations and systems, examining how interconnectedness, nonlinearity, and emergence give rise to both challenges and opportunities. Through the lens of complexity sciences, we’ll explore how patterns of behavior, feedback loops, and adaptive tensions shape outcomes in unpredictable yet powerful ways. Participants will gain insight into how complexity-informed thinking can be used to facilitate transformative change—whether in a team, an enterprise, or across an entire ecosystem—by learning to lead with curiosity, responsiveness, and systemic awareness.

Week 3 - Foundations of the Complexity Leadership Model

In this session, we will introduce the Complexity Leadership (Theory of Change) Model, which provides a framework for navigating and leveraging the VUCA-like environment that we operate in today of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity to drive impactful change. This week lays the groundwork for becoming a change leader who leverages complexity, thrives in uncertainty, and embraces ambiguity to facilitate fast, resistance-free, sustainable change.

Weeks 4-8 - Cracking Complexity: 7-Step Process to Resolve Complex Adaptive Challenges

This week, we embark on a transformative journey into the 7-Step Complexity Leadership Model, beginning with a powerful deep dive into the often-overlooked realm of “inner complexity”—the hidden mental models, biases, and dark constraints that quietly shape our decisions, relationships, and the systems we influence. These unconscious dynamics can either limit or liberate our capacity to lead through complexity. Through guided reflection and application, you’ll learn how to surface, navigate, and reframe these internal forces, turning personal insight into a lever for adaptive problem-solving, system change, and expanded leadership impact. From Weeks 4 through 8, we’ll progressively explore each step of the Complexity Leadership Model, deepening our understanding and applying it to real-world challenges.

By making these dynamics visible, you’ll gain the clarity and confidence needed to orchestrate change in complex environments, enabling you to not just manage change, but catalyze meaningful, system-wide transformation with greater precision, impact, and speed.

Week 10 - On Becoming a Complexity Leader

Discover what it truly means to be a Complexity Leader. This week, you'll explore the capabilities, mindset, and daily practices necessary to lead in complex environments. Embrace the persona of a Complexity Leader, focusing on strategic foresight, adaptability, and the ability to foster collaboration and innovation in the face of ambiguity. Further, we'll share with you 'actionable' practice fields of opportunity for you to begin role-modeling the new (i.e., new method, tools, & techniques), including developing a powerful personal growth plan. At bottom, this week is dedicated to your personal and professional development, helping you refine your leadership style and prepare for the challenges of leading in complex, dynamic environments.

Week 11 - The Resilient Organization (+ Lessons from the Field)

This session explores the shift from designing and executing episodic change to embedding a discipline of ongoing, continuous adaptation as the foundation for building organizational resilience and sustained innovation. We’ll examine what it takes to embed adaptive capacity into the fabric of an organization, using real-life “lessons from the field” to illuminate critical success factors. Through dialogue and reflection, we’ll connect these insights to the practical application of the Complexity Leadership Model, identifying how leaders can create the conditions for emergent solutions, learning, and long-term agility.

Week 12 - POD Case Study Presentations

In this session, each POD (team of 3 participants) will present their applied learning case study, showcasing how they leveraged the Complexity Leadership Model to address a real organizational challenge.
